A good way to display photographs

If you want to show more than just a couple of photos on a page, and keep the size of each photo fairly large, then a way must be designed that allows the site visitor to select the photo they wish to see and show the images one at a time. The example shown on this page shows a solution that uses either a thumbnail image to select the photo, or a text link to click to view the photo.
